Dental Assistant
in Narre Warren
We are seeking an experienced and confident Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our team in Narre Warren, VIC. The ideal candidate will have a strong personality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead and collaborate effectively with other dental assistants, patients, and dentists.
You
- Are a qualified cert III or have strong at least 1 years Chairside Dental Assistant experience
- Have reliable transportation and must live within 30 mins distance of Narre Warren VIC, be reliable and punctual
- Have some flexibility in being able to cover staff absences
- Must be available to work on weekends
- Must be available to work 2-4 days in a week
- Must be professionally presented, ethical, honest and respectful towards others
- An excellent listener, Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good at working independently, while also being a team player and taking direction well
Some of the duties of the role include
- Be a team leader and maintain a positive attitude amongst all clinical staff
- Regular chair-side dental assisting for all general dental procedures
- Taking clinical extra-oral photos, upload to computer, Intra oral scans, send this to lab
- Debriefing / pro-active communication with patients about the treatments they may need
- General Administration and assisting practice co-ordinator along with practice manager
- Lead clinical Stock control / ordering
- Help set protocols for clinical work, patient follow ups
- Supervise / train junior staff
- Coordination of laboratory work with external dental labs.
- Assist the practice manager / practice co-ordinator with equipment maintenance, servicing, and calibration.
- Maintain and implement the highest standards of infection control.
- Assistance with the sterilization of instruments, infection control
- Occasional reception duties
- take phone calls, manage patient appointments, inquiries and payments
- Organize payments plans, data entry
- Manage recall and reactivation patients

Role requires long term commitment. We are unable to consider candidates who are currently attending Uni or have other commitments which restricts their availability.
